Level 1 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations are the small mobile chargers that come with the car when you purchase it at the dealership. They require a dedicated 120 volt circuit and the charging times can take up to 30 hours to fully charge your electric vehicle.
Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations will charge your vehicle much faster. A Level 2 residential home charging station, also called Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), is powered by a 240 volt dedicated circuit from your electric panel. Charging times will vary from 2 to 8 hours, depending on which Electric Vehicle and type of charger you use. The most common Level 2 chargers are the Tesla Wall Connector, the ChargePoint Home Flex, and the JuiceBox Smart Charging Station.
A 50 Amp 14-50 or 6-50 Receptacle will allow you to charge your car using the 50 Amp Mobile Connector cord that comes with many new EV's.

Where should I put my charging station?
The EVSE installation is usually on your garage wall near where you park your car. We can also install it on the outside of your house. The cord ranges from 8-24 feet in length, depending on the brand and model.

The state of New Jersey is currently offering a $166 million Electric Vehicle (EV) Rebate Program to build New Jersey's EV charging infrastructure. Homeowners in PSE&G, JCP&L, and other NJ power company territories are eligible for a rebate of the EV Charger installation cost up to $1,500. 90% of our installations are under this amount, which means you pay nothing. We’ve been contacted by every car charger manufacturer or installation referral company as they attempted to recruit us into their service. These companies take a very large piece of the pie, which causes certified contractors to have to charge significantly more money for installations. Electric vehicle owners call this the "Tesla Tax".
