Level 2 EV Charging Station in Kearny

Carlos asked if we could install an EV charging station on the front corner of his house in Kearny. He has a very nicely finished basement and the electrical panels on the opposite side of the house. His concern was that we would have to make a lot of holes in the drywall in order to run the wiring across.

An EV charger needs a dedicated circuit using a very thick cable to provide 240 Volts and 60 Amps. We were able to run the cable through his basement using existing access panels so that we didn’t have to make any holes whatsoever.

While this was time consuming, we were still able to complete the job within the PSEG EV rebate program limit so Carlos was reimbursed the entire installation cost.
